INTRODUÇÃO

Welcome to the New Super Lucky’s Tale Trophy Guide! Heavily inspired by classic platformers from the 90s, New Super Lucky’s Tale is the fun story of Lucky – a small fox – who after a series of unfortunate events gets separated from his family, the Guardian Order. Lucky’s job is to find and collect all the Pages from the Book of Ages scattered across the 5 Worlds in the game to defeat Jinx and reunite with his beloved ones.

Most trophies will unlock naturally on your way to 100% the game. 100%ing the game is needed to unlock the Platinum. Additionally, as with most platformers, you can expect lots of Collectibles and collectible-related trophies. Please refer to our All-In-One Collectible Guide for all Collectibles Locations in all of the levels. Some trophies are tied to miscellaneous tasks, with the most challenging ones requiring you to defeat some enemies and bosses without being hit.

PASSO A PASSO

Step 1: Play through the Story While Trying to Collect as Many Pages as Possible and Beat Jinx

Your first step is simple. Play through the story levels found in the 5 different Worlds (Sky Castle, Veggie Village, Wrestful Retreat, Gilly Island, and Hauntingham). To 100% a level, you need to collect its four Pages. One page is unlocked after finding the 5 L-U-C-K-Y letters in the level, one for collecting 300 coins, and one for completing the level. There’s also a fourth Page hidden somewhere in the level. Refer to our All-In-One Collectible Guide to know where all letters and the Hidden Pages are. At the end of Hauntingham, you will take on the final boss, Jinx. Beat him and you’ll get access to Foxington, an area with additional challenge levels, but with no Pages to collect.

Step 2: Coin Grind for All Costumes

If you’ve 100% all levels by the time you’ve completed all challenge levels in Foxington, all you should be left with is purchasing the remaining costumes for Lucky. Each piece of costume costs 700 coins. For the Platinum, you need to purchase all costumes that unlock as you complete the levels from the 4 different Worlds (the costumes that unlock for finding the 15 hot-dogs hidden in the challenge levels in Foxington and the costumes from Gilly Islands are NOT required). If you’re missing only a couple thousand coins, a good idea is to replay WriggleMania in Foxington over and over again until you reach the amount of coins you need. Each run can grant you up to 806 coins.

Step 3: Optional Clean-up and Miscellaneous Trophies

If you still need to clean up some levels or unlock some miscellaneous trophies, check the guide below to determine what you’re missing. Congratulations on your new shiny Platinum!

Black Belt
Defeat Master Mittens.
Automatic story-related unlock. The boss Master Mittens unlocks after collecting at least 8 Pages from the different levels in the Sky Castle World.

Start by getting rid of the purple enemies coming at you, then burrow to avoid the incoming balls of fire. After that, a new wave of enemies will try to attack you. When you hit them, their head will hit Master Mittens.

Continue by burrowing or evading the balls of fire and simply repeat the process of hitting the incoming purple enemies to have their head hit the boss. After enough hits, the boss will fall to his death, thereby unlocking this trophy.

What’s Down Here?
Use a foxhole.
While exploring the levels, you will occasionally come across holes in the ground with some light shining through that you can interact with with :r2: . These are foxholes which usually lead you to a separate challenge within the level that, if completed, will award you with lots of coins, a diamond, or a Hidden Page. The first opportunity to do this is in the level Heavy Heads in the Sky Castle World. After opening the front gate, the foxhole is on the left of the area, past the cage, by some caterpillar enemies. To unlock this trophy, simply jump into the hole. Here is an example of a foxhole.

Sticky Situation
Fall into a tar pit.

You Got LUCKY
Collect all the LUCKY letters in a single level.
Scattered throughout each level are 5 letters, L, U, C, K, and Y. Collecting all letters awards you with one Page. Once a letter is collected, it doesn’t need to be collected again if you die. Your first opportunity to unlock this is in the level Heavy Heads in the Sky Castle World. Please refer to our All-In-One Collectibles Guide to know their locations.
10,000 Leagues Under The Ground
Burrow 10,000 meters.
To burrow use :r2: or :l2: whenever Lucky is walking on grassy or sandy terrain. If you burrow consistently over the course of the game, you will unlock this on your way to 100%ing the game. If you haven’t unlocked it by the time you’ve reached Foxington, you will most likely unlock this during the challenge level Under Pressure in Foxington.
Brawn Over Brains
Defeat Tess.
Automatic story-related unlock. The boss Tess unlocks after collecting at least 10 Pages from the different levels in the Veggie Village World.

Tess will immediately try to attack you with her machine, so as soon as the fight starts move to either side. Her first attack will be central. Then, 4 different switches will appear around the arena. While avoiding the laser and the balls of fire, approach each switch and tail-whip it to activate it.

Now, Tess will spawn 4 bees. Quickly eliminate them by jumping on them, then move to either side. Tess’s machine will again attack centrally, then raise one of its two arms for a slam attack. To avoid this, quickly move to the opposite side of the arena you’re in. For the next step, activate all switches as before, but this time pay close attention to the lasers moving vertically and horizontally.

For the third and final part, some more bees will spawn. Defeat them just like before and be ready to dodge Tess’s machine’s new attacks by scurrying around the arena. Activate the final switches while avoiding the balls of fire and Tess will be gone for good.

Cannon Fodder
Defeat General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff.
Automatic story-related unlock. The bosses General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff unlock after collecting at least 10 Pages from the different levels in the Wrestful Retreat World.

The fight will start with Fluffinstuff trying to crush you. Simply move around the arena to avoid being squashed. Then, General Buttons will activate his cannons. Simply jump to avoid the incoming fire. When the cannon balls land on the platform, tail-whip any one to return it to sender and damage the duo. Then, eliminate the flying bomb-throwing cats by tail-whipping the bombs they launch back at them.

For the next two parts of the fight, simply rinse and repeat and the duo will go down in no time.

The End Of A Tale
Defeat Jinx once and for all!
Automatic story-related unlock. The boss Jinx unlocks after collecting at least 4 Pages from the different levels in Hauntingham and it is the final boss of the game.

For the first part of the fight you first have to jump over the pink circles. If they touch you, they’ll damage you. Then, you need to avoid the lasers coming from Jinx’s eyes. Lastly, jump on the pink ghosts. Jinx can now be attacked. Simply jump on him repeatedly until the second part of the fight starts.

The second part of the fight plays out exactly like the first, with the sole exception that when you’re supposed to jump on Jinx, he will also spawn pink circles. Make sure to avoid them as you damage him.

During the very last part of the fight, Jinx will multiply and spawn pink circles like crazy. Use the strategy from the second part of the fight to get rid of him and restore peace and order in Lucky’s world.

Gather ‘Round, Chicken

Who Needs Walls?
Beat Trapped in Paradise without flipping a switch.
World: Gilly Island / Level: Trapped in Paradise

To do so, you can jump on the beach umbrellas, walk on the bamboo canes, or simply double-jump and tail-whip to reach those areas that would be otherwise more easily reached after flipping the switches. It’s a lot easier than it sounds. To find out the location of the beach umbrellas, you can look at the maps found across the level ( :bronze: If There’s A Place You Gotta Go…). The trophy will unlock after tail-whipping the last beach umbrella open.

Smooth Criminal
Defeat Lady Meowmalade without getting hit.
The boss Lady Meowmalade unlocks after collecting at least 6 Pages from the different levels in the Gilly Island World. Here’s a strategy on how to beat the boss without getting hit.

When the boss fight starts, go stand on the blue pads. The red pads will electrocute you. Repeat this until Lady Meowmalade doesn’t come onto the dance floor. When she does, be ready to avoid her lasers. When the lasers disappear, approach her and hit her three times.

For the second part of the fight, move to the blue pads of the dance floor to avoid being electrocuted, but this time pay attention also to incoming enemies. When Lady Meowmalade comes to the dance floor, you need to watch out for both her lasers but also the changing pads.

The third and final part of the fight plays out exactly like the second one, with the sole exception that when Lady Meowmalade comes to the dance floor, not only will you be attacked by her lasers, but also the dance floor will try to electrocute you and enemies will spawn, too.

If you’ve managed to get rid of the boss without being hit, the trophy will unlock together with :bronze: Showstopper immediately after the fight.

Have a Buzzkill kill a fellow Buzzkill.
One of the enemy types of the game are bees, called Buzzkill. These can be found almost in all of the levels. To unlock this trophy you need to have another Buzzkill be hit by the stinger of another Buzzkill. To do so, place yourself in front of a Buzzkill and when you’re about to be hit by the stinger of another Buzzkill, get out of the way. If done correctly, the stinger should hit the bee you were in front of. A good place to unlock this is at the end of the level Egg Roll in the Veggie Village World.
The New Champ
Take no damage in WriggleMania.
World: Foxington / Level: WriggleMania

In the final world, Foxington, there’s a challenge level called WriggleMania. In WriggleMania the objective is to survive four increasingly harder enemy waves. To unlock this trophy, you cannot be hit at all. There’s a secret checkpoint after round two. This means that if you get hit during round one or two, you can get yourself killed and start over and this won’t void the trophy, but if you get hit during round three or four, you need to quit the level and try again. Below is a brief description of what to expect on each round.

  • Round 1: four birds will spawn. Jump on them to eliminate them. Eliminating a bird will spawn four flowers. To make things easier, eliminate a bird first and then the flowers it spawns. Repeat for the remaining three birds.
  • Round 2: a series of caterpillars will spawn. Jump on them to eliminate them, but be wary of the incoming balls of fire.
  • Round 3: spiky traps and bees will spawn. Jump on the bees while avoiding to land on the traps and getting hit by the moving laser.
  • Round 4: bees and magma monsters will spawn. Focus on the bees first. Be careful not to get hit by their stingers or the moving lasers. Then, go for the magma monsters. Just like the bees, it is recommended to kill them by repeatedly jumping on them. After killing a magma monster, an orb will start chasing you. Try to avoid it together with the laser. After clearing the arena of this last wave, the battle will be over.

If you’ve successfully remain unscathed throughout the battle, the trophy will unlock immediately after.

By the time you unlock it, you should have way more than enough coins to buy it. Before entering the level, speak to Geovanni at the shopping cart in Foxington, equip the Maxi-Mullet hat and confirm. Then, go play the level. You can combine this trophy with either :bronze: The New Champ or while you grind the last couple thousand coins you’ll most likely need for all of the costumes.
