INTRODUÇÃO

Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era: traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings. It’s been out for PC and Xbox since 2017 and it’s finally on PS4! The game is known for being quite a challenge, but I’m here to walk you through the quickest way for the Platinum. Get ready for swell battles!

PASSO A PASSO

Step 1: Finish the game on Regular and get A rank on all of the bosses along with Pacifist runs

This step is very straightforward. The game has an Easy difficulty but you have to play on Regular, otherwise you won’t be able to progress through islands. You have to get at least rank A- on all of the bosses, which shouldn’t be too hard. Check King for more info.

You should also keep an eye out for the coins on Run ‘n Gun levels. Each level has 5 coins. Some of them are easy to miss but most likely you will be able to get all of them. You should also go for the Pacifist runs (going through the level without killing any enemies). It shouldn’t be hard as well. Check Pacifist for more info.

At the end of this step, you should earn:

Taking Names
A Walk in the Park
A Day at the Fair
A Trip Downtown
Casino Night
Swing your Sinner
Souls Saved
Sheriff
Boss
Mayor
Pacifist
Coffers Full
King
Magician Lord
Parry Persistance
Parry Performance

Step 2: Miscellaneous trophies

On this step you should get everything else before starting your Expert journey. You probably got most of the trophies already, but if you didn’t, do it now. You should be able to get an S rank, which requires Expert difficulty. Check Put On a Show for more info.

At the end of this step, you should earn:

Put On a Show
Butter-and-Egg Man
High Roller
Perfect Run
Porcelain Power
Ceramic Strike
Rolling Sixes
Bravo Zulu P-26
Cutting Corners
Bouncing Ball
Selling Out

Step 3: Beat all bosses on Expert difficulty

This is where the challenge begins. After beating the game on Regular, a new difficulty will be available at every boss. You have to kill all of them on Expert in order to get 200% completion. This may be very tough but with a little patience, it’s doable.

At the end of this step, you should earn:

Beat The Devil At His Own Game
Grand Uproar

GUIA DE TROFÉUS

 Grand Uproar
Obtain all other trophies

 Taking Names
Defeat a boss

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after defeating any boss.

 A Walk in the Park
Defeat every boss in Inkwell Isle I

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after defeating the last boss on the first island, Inkwell Island I.

 A Day at the Fair
Defeat every boss in Inkwell Isle II

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after defeating the last boss on the second island, Inkwell Island II.

 A Trip Downtown
Defeat every boss in Inkwell Isle III

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after defeating the last boss on the third island, Inkwell Island III.

 Casino Night
Complete the Casino

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after beating King Dice, the last boss at the Casino. You should practice on picking what you want on the dice so you can pick a route you find easier. 3 > 5 > 7 > Safe > Fin is the quickest route. Should be the easiest as well. You have to get straight 3’s on the dice for this route so a little practice would help.

 Souls Saved
Complete the game on Normal

Story related. Can’t be missed (final bosses are only available on Regular or Expert so you can’t finish the story on Easy).

This trophy will pop after defeating The Devil.

Beat The Devil At His Own Game
Complete the game on Expert

Well, this is the challenge. Not much to say here, you just have to beat every boss (including the devil) on Expert difficulty. The good part is you just have to beat them. You don’t need to worry about parries or super meters (although you should always try and get them). Just be frustration-free. Patience is key. You can do it! This trophy will pop after defeating the last boss on Expert difficulty.

 Sheriff
Obtain an A-Rank or higher on all bosses in Inkwell Isle I

See King.

 Boss
Obtain an A-Rank or higher on all bosses in Inkwell Isle II

See King.

 Mayor
Obtain an A-Rank or higher on all bosses in Inkwell Isle III

See King.

 King
Obtain an A-Rank or higher on all bosses in Inkwell Hell

In order to get at least A- rank on every boss, you have to get 3/3 parries and 6/6 super meter (use 6 ability cards). You can get hit 2 times, meaning you can finish the level with 1 HP. If you do that and finish with a decent time, you will get at least A-. Do that on all bosses in each island and you should get all correspondent trophies.

 Put On a Show
Get an S-Rank

Expert difficulty will become available once you finish the game. For an S rank you have to play on Expert, not get hit, get 3/3 parries and 6/6 super meter, and finally finish the level with a decent time. You can get it on any boss, but I would recommend Botanic Panic, located on Inkwell Island I. You can get the 3 parries on his first phase (potato), and just manage the rest of the fight.

 Magician Lord
Obtain all Super Arts

Super Arts are unlocked upon finishing Mausoleums. There is one mausoleum in each island. Once you finish them, the trophy should pop.

 Butter-and-Egg Man
Buy everything in Porkrind’s Shop

Porkrind’s Shop is where you buy weapons and charms. It also has a great song. In order to buy everything you must collect all coins throughout the Run ‘n Gun levels and also some hidden ones. Check High Roller for more info. After you get all coins, return to Porkrind and buy whatever is left.

 Coffers Full
Get every coin in all of the levels

Every Run ‘n Gun level has 5 coins. Some of them are easy to miss but most likely you will get all of them on your first run. If you happen to miss any, just check before starting the level, it should point out which ones you missed, making it easy for you to search.

 Parry Persistance
Complete 20 parries

See Parry Performance.

 Parry Performance
Complete 100 parries

You get parries by pressing  on pink objects/projectiles. You get one ability card for every successful parry, so you should try and get them whenever you have the chance. Get 100 parries and the trophy is yours. This will come naturally.

 Perfect Run
Complete a level without getting hit

Pretty straightforward. It is likely you will get this trophy naturally. If you didn’t, choose whatever boss you find easy, play it on easy difficulty and just finish it without getting hit. I recommend Botanic Panic on Inkwell Island I for this, but whatever you pick is fine.

 Porcelain Power
Defeat a boss with a Super Art

You get Super Arts by finishing Mausoleums. You know your Super Art is loaded when you gather 5 ability cards and they start rolling. You press  to perform it. For this trophy the finishing blow should be a Super Art. It is very likely you get this naturally. If you didn’t, pick any boss you find easy and when you think they are about to die, use your Super Art. Bosses don’t have an HP bar so knowing the timing is key here. It may take a few tries.

 Ceramic Strike
Defeat a boss with an Extra Special move

Extra Special moves are the abilities you perform upon pressing  button. It is very likely you will get this naturally. If you didn’t, pick any boss you find easy and when you think they are about to die, use your Extra Special move. Bosses don’t have an HP bar so knowing the timing is key here. It may take a few tries. Each weapon has a different Extra Special move so keep that in mind.

 Bouncing Ball
Parry five times before hitting the ground

For this trophy you should go on Run ‘n Gun level Funfair Fever, located on Inkwell Island II. Right at the beginning, you will see a trampoline-like thing that will help you jump through some walls. Balloons will spawn to bother you. Eventually a pink balloon will show up. You parry them, and they don’t disappear as other projectiles. Just bounce on them 5 times consecutively and the trophy should pop. This might take a couple tries.

 Swing You Sinner
Defeat the Devil

Story related. Can’t be missed.

This trophy will pop after defeating The Devil on any difficulty (only Regular and Expert are available for this boss).

 High Roller
Get every coin in the game

Some coins are hidden throughout the islands or are tied to NPC quests. Below is where to find them or what to do to get them. You need these as well as the ones you get on Run ‘n Gun levels.

The first coin is just at the end of the tutorial. If you skipped it, just go back to The Elder Kettle (the house where you start the game) and interact with a book on the table.

Shortly after leaving The Elder Kettle, interact with this apple head guy and he will give you three more coins.

The first hidden coin will be available after defeating every boss on Inkwell Island I. This guy will move a bit to the side enabling you to get it.

The second hidden coin will be available after walking through the hidden shortcut to Fiery Frolic, on Inkwell Island II (See Cutting Corners ). After discovering it, interact with this girl and she should give you the coin.

The third coin will be available after getting 4 consecutive parries. Check Bouncing Ball for some info on where to do it. After doing that, talk to this guy and he should give you the coin. He is at Inkwell Island II, just next to Fiery Frolic.

The fourth hidden coin is also at Inkwell Island II. It’s behind this green wagon.

Next coin is at Inkwell Island III, just next to Cala Maria. Behind this shop-like structure.

And the final hidden coin is located at Inkwell Hell. Just behind this dice wall.

 Pacifist
Complete all levels without killing an enemy

In order to get this trophy you should finish all Run ‘n Gun levels without killing any enemies. You can do different runs for this. If you are finding it hard to get all coins and keep enemies alive, do a first run killing everyone and getting the coins, then another one for not killing anyone. You get a P rank after a Pacifist run. Getting the P rank on all Run ‘n Gun levels means this trophy will unlock.

 Rolling Sixes
Defeat King Dice without taking a hit

This trophy might seem scary but it’s not that tough. The description is misleading. You actually CAN get hit during the King Dice fight, as long as you finish the fight with at least 3 HP. You can get to this fight with up to 8 HP points so this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

 Bravo Zulu P-26
Defeat a boss using only the mini-plane bullets

Press  while on your plane and you will shrink. You will get very fast, but your shot range and damage will be reduced a lot.
This can be done on any flying boss, but it will be much easier on the Casino. There are two flying bosses here, #6 Phear Lap and #9 Mr. Chimes. I’d recommend #9 Mr. Chimes for this since he is very easy and not that much aggressive. Just flip the right cards and be sure to hit him only when you are pressing . After defeating him, the trophy is yours.

 Cutting Corners
Find a shortcut

The best place for doing this is Inkwell Island II, as this shortcut is tied to a hidden coin. Just behind Aviary Action, there is a big wall. You can walk behind this wall. Just keep going and you will get to the other side, just near Fiery Frolic. Trophy should pop halfway through the shortcut.

There are also two more shortcuts, thanks to Moridin83 and SpadesOfDarkness for pointing these out.
The first one is at Inkwell Island I. Just keep going around the river and you should get to the other side.

The third one is at Inkwell Island III. Walk past this crane and go around the junkyard. You should get to the other side just next to Sally Stageplay.

 Selling Out
Give in to the Devil

When you get to the Devil, he will demand you to join him. Select YES and the trophy will pop. There will be a little cutscene along with credits, but the game won’t be really finished, it will stay at 96% completion. You won’t lose anything by selecting this option, since the game will get back exactly where you were before.
